Abstract
The concept of horizontal drainage board method is proposed for the improvement of the stability of river embankment by the control of hydraulic gradient in flood infiltration. By use of a special test equipment, the effect of earth pressure on the drainage pressure is measured. Then the drainage effect under different earth pressures and at different installation lengths is discussed based on seepage analysis by the finite element method. Through the research, the effect of earth pressure on drainage, the installation method of drainage board and so on are clarified. Finally the efficiency of and prospect for the horizontal drainage technology are confirmed.关键词
