摘要

Abstract

IEEE802.11 iS the most important standard for designing wireless LAN MAC and PHY.It has been supported by most telecommunication industries and widely applied in mobile computing and communications.The topic of IEEE802.11-based multiple priority access scheme supporting differential service is being a very attractive area in these years.This paper firstly introduces general knowledge about IEEE802.11 protocol suite and its MAC implements.We pay more attention on the principle of DCF and backoff scheme.Secondly,some main existing contributions on contention-based priority mechanisms are introduced and evahated.Furthermore we give conclusions and potentials in the last section.
