Sequence and age of the Kargang Group in the Ziqu drainage area of the northern Lancang River
摘要
Abstract
A representative section of the Kargang Group in the Ziqu drainage area of the northern Lancang River is described on the basis of new data from 1∶200000 regional geological surveys． By using the section correlation and tracing by means of geological mapping， the sequence of the Kargang Group is in ascending order： the Aibaona Formation， Ri’azelong Formation， Majunlong Formation and Zhonglong Formation． The biota of the Kargang Group is similar to that in Qamdo adjacent to the area and the South China region； all these biotas belong to the Eurasian－North American biogeographic realm and their bulk originated in the Early Carboniferous．关键词
