摘要
Abstract
We solve the complex eigenvalue equations and take complexpropagation constants as standard values to compare with the values obtained by the first and the second order perturbation calculations for step-index multilayer planar waveguides with gain and losses,the numerical results demonstrate that the perturbation me thod gives values in good agreement with the standard values.The results also illustrate that the difference between the first and the second order approximati on is very small and the first approximation can give enough accurate values关键词
