Effects of somatostatin gene engineering vaccine andcysteamine on weight gain of grazing lambs

Abstract
Ninety 4～5-month-old crossbred lambs were divided into 3 groupsbased on their weight and sex to examine the effects of CS87 and SS vaccine on growth.Thirty lambs were orally administrated with CS87(80 m g/kg BW)once a week for 42 d and thirty lambs were immunized with SS vaccine(1 m L/lamb)just one time during 63 d.Results showed that CS87 increased weig ht gain by 16.46%(P＜0.05)from 0～21 d and 15.95%(P＜0.05) from 21～ 42 d.SS vaccine sligtly increased weight gain by 5.86%(P＞0.05) from 21～4 2 d and significantly increased weight gain by 17.56%(P＜0.05)from 42～63 d.The result also indicated that female lambs got more benefit from SS vaccine t han the male lambs did.关键词
