Abstract
The catalytic performance of zeolite TS-1 catalyst for the hydroxylation of 4-cresol to 4-methylcatechol with hydrogen peroxide was evaluated.The results indicated that,under optimal hydroxylation conditions[reaction temperature 75~85 ℃,feed molar ratio hydrogen peroxide to 4-cresol 0.3~0.35 and hydrogen peroxide concentration 30%(wt),catalyst to 4-cresol 6%~8%(wt),solvent(mixture of acetone and water,volume ratio 2/3)volume equal to that of 4-cresol,hydrogen peroxide being added dropwise during 3.5 h,then continuing to be reacted for 1.5 h],the conversion of 4-cresol was 19.91%~21.01%,the selectivity of 4-methylcatechol 69.96%~73.53% and the yield of 4-methylcatechol 14.64%~14.70%(to 4-cresol).The mechanism of 4-cresol hydroxylation was discussed.关键词
