摘要

Abstract

X-ray diffraction analysis proved that when the silicon content of ductile irons was increased gradually from 3.0% to 5.5%, the quantity, position and strength of its diffraction peaks was regularly changed. This change has a good correspondingly relation with brittleness of cast irons. From the experiment results, we could conclud that the brittleness of the ductile iron containing 3.3 % Si was associated with that the 1/8 silicon atoms was solved in average each of α- Fe unit cell.
