Abstract
Objective To evaluate the factors affecting exercise ability of patients with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease(COPD) . Methods Rutine examination of lung function, analysis of blood gas and health - related quality of life(HRQoL) wereperformed before exercise in 30 patients. The ratio of thoracoabdominal motion to votile volume(TCD/VT) was monitored during exer-cise. Results Revelant analysis indicated indeies responed to maximal exercise capacity were closely related to the ratio of the amount of co2diffused to expected value, resident volume/total volume, FEV1, FVC, PEFR and resting PaO2, VE, VT. Conclusion Restriction of ventila-tion is a main factor affecting exercise capacity of patients with moderate to severe COPD. Basic pulmonary impairment and the decrease ofHRQoL also affect patient's exercise capacity.关键词
