Abstract
Objective: To study the protective effect of celery water extraction of ischemic/reperfusing myocardium. Methods:The experimental ischemic/reperfusing myocardium model of rabbit isolated hearts was used. 100mg/kg celery water extract was given in Thomas fluid. The coronary flow, SOD, activity of LDH and MDA in myocardial tissue were measured. Results: Celery could greatly enhance coronary flow ( P ＜ 0.05 ), largely reduce the amount of MDA( P ＜ 0.05 ), decrease the activity of SOD and LDH (P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusion:During the course of ischemia and reperfusion, celery could largely reduce the amount of MDA and significantly decrease the activity of SOD and LDH. It might be an important mechanism of attenuating myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.关键词
