Numerical simulation of the processes in lime furnace

Abstract
Based on mass and energy conservation, a mathematical model and numerical simulation method on the reac-tions and heat transfer in lime furnace has been developed. The numerical simulation of the processes in a furnace hasbeen carried on by making use of the parameters measured on the spot. The factors of limestone calcination have beenstudied. The results show that the optimizing parameters of operation for lime furnace are: 0.075~0.078 for rate of car-bon-hmestone, 1.05~1.10 for coefficient of combustion air, 15~18 t/h for limestone flux. Thus the ratio between threelengths in preheating, creating and cooling area would be approximately 2:1:1.关键词
