摘要

Abstract

Chloroform,ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of 75% ethanol extract from young and old leaves of Toona sincnsis, were tested for their anti-bacterial activities using the antimierobial disk assay. The extracts from young leaves showed more remarkable antibacterial activities than those from old leaves, and the ethyl acetate fraction of young leaf ex- tract showed the most significant antibacterial activity with a MIC of 1.3 mg/mL. The results suggested that the active compounds in T. sincnsis decreased along with its growth period.
