摘要

Abstract

The marine alga Kappaphycus alvarezzi Doty was collected on January 1999 in Li'an harbour, Hainan province. Its nutritive composition was assayed by applying HPLC, AAS(atomic absorption spectrometry) analytic methods, which mainly included protein, amino acids, lipid, crude fibre, ash, carbohydrate, mineral and trace element. Compared with other seaweeds for synthetic evaluation in nutritive value of Kappaphycus alvarezzi Doty, the results showed that crude protein is 6.20%, crude fat and ash are higher in Kappaphvcus alvarezzi Doty, individually, they were 2.88% and 39.04%. It is rich in mineral elements, such as K, Na, Ca, Mg,P, Fe, Zn, Mn and Se, etc, among which Se content is higher than the other alga.
