Preliminary study on coseismic effects of remote earthquakes based on Jurong 16 well

Abstract
Through analyzing coseismic effects of Jurong 16 well caused by remote earthquakes that happened from 2001 to 2007, we find water temperature and water level of Jurong 16 well show a kind of obvious coseismic effects to earthquakes that happened between 800 km and 5 000 km, and were with magnitude more than 7.5. The coseismic steps of water temperature and water level are always rising up. The step amplitudes of water temperature and water level increase with the increase of earthquake magnitude, and decrease with the increase of epicentral distances. A preliminary study on synchronous change mechanism of water temperature and water level is discussed in this paper.关键词
