摘要

Abstract

Objective: To study kainic acid(KA)-induced seizures and explore condition of KA-inducedseizures in developing rats. Methods: Rats of postnatal ages (in 5, 15, 25, 60 days) were admin-istered KA intraperitoneally. Results: The dose of KA to induce seizures in different age-groupwas 1.4±0. 39, 2.5±0.67, 8.8±0. 79, 14±0. 67 mg · kg1 and the latency of seizure was 49.9±8.95, 60. 6±11.18, 65.9±10.04, 97.8±13.65±minutes. Keeping body of rats warm de-creased seizure mortality rate in puprats obviously. Conclusion: KA was an deal tool medicine toestablish experimental seizure model in developing rats from newborn to adult.
