纳米硼酸镧添加剂的摩擦学性能研究
Experimental Study on the Tribology Properties of Lanthanum Borate Nanoparticle as Additives in Lubricating Oil

Abstract
Using Timken machine and four-ball machine, we studied experimentally the wear and scuffing resistants of sliding friction pairs by using nanometer lanthanum borate as additives in lubricating oils. The experiment results show that the nanometer lanthanum borate as additives can improve the characteristics of lubricating oils and scuffing resistant of sliding friction pairs. By the analysis of wear surface using X-ray photoelectron microscopy(XPS), we found that the friction pairs surface were covered by adsorption film, tribo-polymer films.With the increasing of the loads, the friction surface were covered by B2O3 and La2O3 adsorption film, this is the main reason why this kind additives can improve the scuffing resistant. We also found that the scuffing resistants of sliding friction pairs decrease with the increasing of the sliding velocity, there is an a inflexion point, as the sliding velocity exceed the inflexion point, scuffing resistants of sliding friction pairs increase with the increasing of the sliding velocity.关键词
