摘要

Abstract

The compactibility, swelling pressure and swelling deformation property of Gaomiaozi bentonite as buffer/backfill material for HLW repository in China are studied. The test results show that the density of compacted bentonite samples are related with compaction pressure and montmorillonite content in bentonite, the swelling pressure is related with density of compacted bentonite and montmorillonite content in bentonite, and the swlling deformation is obviously reduced when the samples are under the pressure.
