摘要

Abstract

Using HRP retrograde transport and anterograde generation of neurons, the synaptic connec-tions between terminates of rubrospinal tract (RST) and original cells of spinocerebellar tract(SCT) were observed by electron microscope. The results showed that RST degeneration termi-nations had connections with HRP labeled cellbodies and dendrities which came from original cells(spinal border cells; Clarke's collumn cells), but most of the degeneration buttons covered thesurface of unlabeled bodies and proximal dendrities, and most of buttons were connected withdendrites. Two types of the degeneration buttons(dark and light) of the RST which containedmixed vesicles could be seen under the EM. These buttons mainly belonged to dark types whichconttained spherical vesicles. The findings suggested that RST terminations might have synapticcontact with the original cells directly or indirectly. Morphologically, the present study indicatedthat the terminations of RST may play a role in modulation of information which was transmittedby original cells of SCT.
