Abstract
Object: To find the best age range of donors in allotransplantation of cultured fetal parathyroid gland (chf-PTG) cells in treating patient with hypoparathyroidism(HPT). Method: The human fetal parathyroid glands were harvested from the aborted fetuses(died within 2h) which age ranged from 12 weeks to 32 weeks to prepare cells for culture in vitro. The levels of supematant parathyroid hormone(PTH) were monitored by radioimmunometric assay(RIA)regularly, The chf-PTG cells were observed under the microscope and electron microscope and electron microscope simultaneously, to identify the best age range of donors to adapt to the allotransplantation of chf-PTG cells. Result: The chf-PTG cells from aborted fetuses of 16～24 weeks could secrete PTH, and kept their morphology and ultrastructure quite well. Conclusion: The period of 16～24 weeks might be the best age range for donors in allotransplantation of chf-PTG cells in treating patient with HPT.关键词
