Abstract
Today, The cost of rapid prototyping manufacturing(RPM) system is very expensive, so its application is greatly limited. There are many factors affecting the cost of RPM. According to the characteristics of RPM system, the software and hardware structures of low-cost control system with high control performance and the lowest cost are presented. Some key techniques adopted during the design and development of the low-cost RPM control system are discussed. This low-cost RPM control system was successfully applied to the low-cost series LOM(laminated objective manufacturing) and SLS(selective laser sintering) system. Practical application shows that the cost of the low-cost RPM control system is about 50% less than that of the conventional RPM control system. At the same time, the low-cost RPM control system, which can meet the fabrication requirements of RPM, also improves reliability of RPM control system.关键词
