Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of event-related potentials in the differential diagnosis between Alzheimer disease and vascular dementia.Methods Event-related potentials were performed in 30 patients with AD,16 with VD and 41 normal controls. Results The latencies of N1,N2,P3 were significantly prolonged in AD and VD group,when compared with normal controls.AD patients had a significant longer P3 latency and lower P3 amplitude than VD patients.The sensitivity and specificity of P3 latency in discriminant function analysis between AD and VD were 70％ and 75％ ,respectively.Conclusion The difference of P300 between AD and VD,which was related with their neuropathological basis,may be used if necessary.关键词
