摘要

Abstract

In the operation of differential protection based on fault component the maloperation of the device may be caused by inappropriate settings. In the view of braking coefficient, it is pointed out that for differential protection based on fault component a higher value of the braking current in the knee point should not be chosen, and how to select the settings of differential protection based on fault component is discussed. It is expounded that the differential protection based on fault component differs from conventional protective devices, the selection of settings for the latter should not indiscriminately imitate the former.
