摘要

Abstract

Double-shield Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and honeycomb segment design are not fit for the construction under some unfavorable geological conditions, such as earth section, fracture zone of fault, karst and swelling rock etc. However, these unfavorable conditions are usually unavoidable during the construction of long tunnel. Effective defect treatment is the only way to ensure safe tunnle operation. Thus, this kind of TBM can be used in a more extensive area. TBM construction method was adopted in No.6, No.7 and No.8 tunnels of main trunk Line of Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project for passing through Q2 an Q3 loess section and N2 red clay section. This paper provides detailed description of the quality defects encountered and relevant dealing measures.
