摘要

Abstract

Random amplified polymorphic DNA was used with 21 arbitrary 10-mer oligonucleotide primers in both New Yangzhou and Leghorn chicken. 13 primers can repeatedly produce RAPD bands clearly. The average of band sharing frequency (BSF) of male New Yangzhou chicken is equal to that of female (P>0. 05), the average of BSF of female New Yangzhou chicken is significantly less than that of Leghorn (P<0. 05). The average of coefficient of genetic diversity (H)compared between male and female in New Yangzhou chicken is equal (P>0. 05), New Yangzhou chicken compare with Leghorn chicken in the average of H is on the contrary and the former is larger than the latter (P<0. 05). So we can getthe conclusion that the genetic variation of New Yangzhou chicken is larger than that of Leghorn and can be improved.
