Relationship between response of aplastic anemia patients to cyclosporin therapy and levels of tumour necrosis factor-α, interferon-γof bone marrow plasma from patients with aplastic anemia

Abstract
[Objective] To detect the levels of tumour necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), Interferon-γ(IFN-γ) of bone marrow plasma (BMP) from the patients with aplastic anemia and explore the relationship between the levels of those cytokines and the effects of cyclosporin A (CsA) therapy. [Methods] Endogenous TNF-α, IFN-γ in the BMP were measured in 24 aplastic anemia patients and 20 normal control by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)methods. All patients were administered with the CsA at least three month. [Results] The levels of TNF-α, IFN-γin the BMP of the aplastic anemia patients were significantly increased than in the normal control (P ＜0.05～0.01),the patients to follow the high levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ have a good response to CsA therapy. [Conclusion] The levels of endogenous TNF-α, IFN-γ in the BMP of aplastic anemia were high, the effects of CsA therapy may be related with the levels of TNF-α, IFN-γin the BMP.关键词
