摘要

Abstract

An electronic control system for the automotive engines fueled with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) was developed. A multi-microcontroller strategy was used for the ECU design,and the AVR microcontroller was used as its core. Several sensor conditioning circuits and actuator drive circuits were designed. By-pass air flow rate was controlled by a stepper motor,and the PID algorithm was adopted to adjust the idle speed in closed-loop.Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) was introduced to control the gas flow by governing the injection valve.Spark ignition energy was controlled actively by adjusting the charging time of the primary ignition coil while spark timing was regulated by power-off time.
