Abstract
Objective To study the interference and mechanism of vitamin C on the determination of glucose. Methods Glucose concentrations were determined with GOD-PAP method and HK method. Results When a series of solutions containing same concentration of glucose but different concentrations of vitamin C was determined with GOD-PAP method, the determined glucose concentration decreased with the increase of vitamin C concentration in the solution, but vitamin C did not affect the determination of glucose with HK method. When glucose-free hydrogen peroxide solution was determined with GOD-PAP method, the apparent glucose concentration decreased with dilution of hydrogen peroxide; with constant hydrogen peroxide concentration in the solutions, the apparent glucose concentration decreased with increase of vitamin C concentration in the solutions. Conclusion Vitamin C interferes with the determination of glucose possibly through the reduction of the intermittent product hydrogen peroxide and the final product quinoneimine.关键词
