摘要

Abstract

A novel solid-liquid heterogeneous phase sulphonation method was developed to prepare sulphonic polystyrene (SPS). The product was characterized by FT-IR and chemical titration. The affecting factors of sulphonation reaction were also studied. Experimental results shows that SPS with high sulphonation degree can be obtained in a shorter reaction time(<150rain) and at lower temperature(50~60 ℃) compared with the conventional methods. Viscosity measurements shows that the prepared SPS aqueous solution exhibits typical polyelectrolyte viscosity behavior.
