Hydroxyapatite nanowires prepared by Oil-in-water emulsion and characterization

Abstract
[Objective] To prepare a kind of hydroxyapatite nanowire for medical utilization and to observe its characterization. [Method] The nanowire of hydroxyapatite (HA) had been synthesized using normal (oil in water)surfactant. Ultrastructure of nanoparticles as studied through HRTEM, FTIR, NMR, XRD. [Results] Experimental results showed that the nanowires were general of larger size 100~230 nm in length and 3~5 nm in width. In the SAED pattern, the HA nanowires as prepared was polycrystalline. The spectra of nanowires contained typical bands of hexahedra Ca2+ at 250 nm. Others bands were usually assigned as O→Ca2+ charge transfers. The Eg values for the HA of microcrystalline, nanowires samples were 1.60 and 1.70ev, respectively. The 31P MAS-NMR spectrum showed a sing 31P intense resonance peak at -0.59 ppm with weak sidebands, corresponding to at least two types of phosphates. [Conclusion] A kind of new HA nanowire for medical utilization was synthesed successfully.关键词
