摘要

Abstract

objective To study the metabolic alterations in medial temporal lobe of Alzheimer disease (AD) patients with proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and provide base for clinical diagnosis. Method Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy were performed in the media]temporal lobe in 15 AD patients and 15 healthy control using STEAM sequence. We also studied the correlation between the ratio of NAA/Cr,mI/Cr and MMSE, and the volume of hippocampal strucfture. Result Decreased ratio of NAA/Cr was positively related to MMSE score and volume of hippocampal sructure , the increased ratio of mI/Cr was negatively related to MMSE and volume of hippocampal stmc-ture. Conclusion 1H-MRS could provide metabolic information of brain tissue noninvasively in AD patients in vivo. The combination of highmI and low NAA could improved diagnosis of AD.
