Abstract

Parallel adjacent erection of AC transmission lines and ±800 kV DC transmission lines in the same corridor will occur in China, so the calculation method for the hybrid electric field over the ground under this type of lines should be studied so as to satisfy the requirements of engineering design and environmental protection. Based on the analysis of mutual influences between AC transmission lines and ±800 kV DC transmission lines in the same corridor, a calculation method is proposed. Through the comparison between the calculation results achieved with this method and the corresponding calculation results obtained when the mutual influences between AC transmission lines and ±800 kV DC transmission lines are neglected, some conclusions can be drawn as follows: compared with the calculation results obtained when the mutual influences are neglected, near the center of AC transmission lines and ±800 kV DC transmission lines in the same corridor, the lateral distribution of the instantaneous maximal values of the hybrid electric field obtained with the proposed method fluctuates;the lateral distributions of the virtual values of the hybrid electric field obtained respectively with the two different calculation methods almost overlap completely;the difference between the maximal value of the hybrid electric field in an AC cycle under this type of lines and the maximal value of DC electric field in the presence of space charge produced by single ±800 kV DC transmission lines is very small.
