Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effects of differ ent medium on the human hair follicle culture.Methods:The single hair follicle from human scalp was separated and cultured in DMEM with 10％ fetal calf serum(FCS),serum-free DMEM and Williams Emedium respectively.The length of hair follicle and its growth rate were measured and calculated,and its morphological changes were observed.Results:The hair follicle grew slowly and distorted early in DMEM with 10％ fetal calfse rum.When hair follicle cultured in serum-free DMEM,its growth period lengthened distinctly and its morphology and structure kept well,but its growth rate had n o obvious difference in contrast to that cultured with serum in the first 3 days.In Williams E medium,the hair follicle grew faster than in the forem entioned two mediums.It was more suitable for hair follicle culture.Conclusion:D MEM with 10％ FCS doesn't suit for hair follicle culture,while Williams E medium might be more beneficial to hair follicle culture than serum-free DMEM.关键词
