APPLICATION OF STOCHASTIC SIMULATION TO RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION IN THE EXPLORATION STAGE OF OILFIELD

Abstract
Stochastic simulation and its application to reservoir characterization in the exploration stage are discussed taking 16th district of Tazhong oilfeild as an example. Several problems, such as calculation of vargiom and model selection resulted from sparse well and lack of production data, are analyzed, and resolvents are presented. Three methods of SGS, SIS and SAS are adopted to simulate reservoir parameters. The stochastic model reveals uncertainty of reservoir distribution. The potential reserves and drilling opportunities are found.关键词
