Abstract
Protection against solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR)among the general public has been increasing steadily.Poly( ethylene terephthalate) (PET) was blended with UVR protection agent and was spun into the modified fibers with the properties of UVR protection. An investigation on the properties using an ultraviolet spectrophotometer showed that the modified PET fabrics could be resistant to UVR more than 90% in the band of UV-B. The effect of the heat insulation and the mechanical properties of the fibers were also studied.关键词
