摘要

Abstract

A series of Mg:In:LiNbO3 (Mg:In:LN) crystals co-doped with 3% (mole fraction, the same below) MgO and 0.5%, 1% or1.5% In2O3 were grown by the Czochralski method. The crystal composition and structure defects were analyzed by ultravio-let-visible spectroscopy. The photo-damage resistance of the Mg:In:LN crystals was observed by straightly observing transmissionfacula distortion method. The results show that the photo-damage resistance of the Mg:In:LN crystals increases two orders of magni-tude compared with that of pure LN crystal. Using a Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1 064nm as the fundamental frequency light,the second harmonic generation (SHG) property of the Mg:In:LN crystals was measured. The results show that the phase-matchingtemperature of the Mg:In:LN crystals is near room temperature, and the SHG efficiency of the Mg:In:LN crystals is higher than thatof Mg-doped and In-doped LN crystals.
