摘要

Abstract

To qualitatively and quantitatively examine lymphatics of the rnammary gland during different physiological periods in Wistar rats. Methods: The structures analyzed included the area of the endothelia(non-nuclear area), area of the endothelial vesicles, the number and types of open and dose junctions. Twenty Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups: normal, pregnancy on day 7,lactating on day 7, post-weaning on day 7 groups(n = 5). The animals were perfused with 0.9%saline and then with 20 ~ 30 ml India ink through the aorta to distinguish blood vessels from lymphatics The mammary gland tissue was treated with routine LM and TEM procedures. The related research were done by LM, TEM and morphometry. Results: The initial lymphatics of the mammary gland were classified into 3 categories: (1) interlobar lymphatic, (2) interlobular lymphatic and (3) intralobular lymphatic (only found in lactating group). The ratio between the open and the totaljunctions of the lymphatics was 12. 7196 (normal), 2896 (pregnancy on day 7), 37. 6196(lactating on day 7), and 8. 159% (post-weaning on day 7). The area ratio between the endothelial vesicles and the total endothelia in each group was 4.2 96 (normal), 1.9 96 (pregnancy on day 7), 0.996 (lactating on day 7), and 2.796 (post-weaning on day 7). Conclusion: During lactating and pregnancy on day 7, open junctions are the major route for the transport; while in the normal group,the endothelial vesicular transport plays an important role.
