Effect of different stress on roots activity and nitrate reductase activity in Zea mays L.

摘要

Abstract

The drought stress, salt stress and alkaline stress were imitated by isosmotic solution of 15%PEG-6000, 72 mmol/L NaCl and 72 mmol/L NaHCO\-3 on roots' activity and nitrate reductase activity in Zea mays L.. The experiment results showed that the root activity of Zea mays seedling was increased by 8.4%,7.4% and 5.6%,the root nitrate reductase was increased by 3.2%,69.7% and 290.4%,leaves nitrate reductase activity was decreased by 67.7%,63.3% and 59.3% respectly than control under different stress.
