摘要

Abstract

Since the present rural power grid planning method can not meet the practical demand, A new planning is presented under the assume that the Geographical Information System (GIS) technology being introduced into rural power distribution system planning. A trial study combined with the power network of Doumen county in Zhuhai is carried out, and the application using VB5.0 and GIS platform is explored, the substation location and optimal path for rural power distribution system is realized. The result showed that: with GIS, no complex algorithm, the planning procedure can be more interactive, the planning result is more visible, the planning updated is more flexible. GIS can be used as a right-hand tool for rural power distribution system planners.
