摘要
Abstract
Concept and basic configuration of local network technology (LAN) are introduced. Basic technology of 10 Mbit/s Ethernet, development of 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s Ethernet and some new technologies emerged in the recent years are discussed. It is predicted that LAN might still be developed rapidly in the near future especially in the areas of virtual LAN (VLAN), wireless LAN (WLAN) and 1 Gbit/s Ethernet.关键词
