Abstract
On the basis of analyzing the technical features of digital optical measurement technology the effect and impact of digital electro-optical measurement technology on future compact substations, protection and control in power systems and substation automation are described. The anticipated economic benefits which can be obtained by application of this technology to power system are analyzed. Moreover, the latest progress in constituting the standard series on the communication network and system in the substation by IEC and IEEE is presented.关键词
