Abstract
Objective: To observe the effects of elective percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty ( PYCA) on heart rate variability (HRV) in patients with first AMI. Methods: Thirty-eight patients with first AMI underwent successful elective PTCA. Three - channel and 24 hour ambulatory electrocardiograms were performed 1 ～ 2days before PTCA and a week and three months after PTCA. 24 hour time domain and 5 minute frequency domain analyses were adopted in measuring HRV. Results: Compared with the values of HRV before PTCA, those of HRV one week after PTCA had no significant difference. But the values of HRV three months after PTCA revealed a significant change. Conclusions: Successful elective PTCA can improve HRV in patients with first AMI.关键词
