摘要
Abstract
Both Pubmed database and China Academic Journals Full-text Database were retrieved to search the articles about the relationship between estrogen receptor (ER) and postmenopausal osteoporosis. There are two subtypes of ER widely distributed in the human body, ER α and ER β. According to the bound receptor subtypes, estrogen activates selectively intracellular signaling pathway, and expresses various biological activities. The regulation of estrogen on bone resorption is effected through being mediated by certain cytokines or directly functioning on osteoclasts. In recent years, the specific effect of selective ER modulator on two different receptor subtypes has become the hot topic for treatment of osteoporosis.关键词
