Abstract
BACKGROUND: The relation between functional disorder of endothelium and coronary heart disease(CHD) has been paid more attention day by day. Changes of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) and nitrogen monoxide(NO) may effect endothelial function to a certain degree and thus play an important role in prognosis of CHD. What effect do Chinese herbal medicine have on improvement of these indexes?OBJECTIVE: To observe effect of shenfu injection on ox-LDL and NO in patients with angina pectoris of CHD.DESIGN: A randomized controlled research.SETTING: Second Medical Department of the 205 Hospital of Chinese PLA. Cardiovascular Department of First Hospital Affiliated to Jinzhou Medical College.PARTICIPANTS: Sixty hospitalized patients and specialized cardiovascular outpatients with angina pectoris of CHD from the 205 Hospital of Chinese PLA and First Hospital Affiliated to Jinzhou Medical College.METHODS: Sixty patients with angina pectoris of CHD were randomized divided into two groups: control group and therapy group. Patients in control group were given regular treatment with western medicine. Patients in therapy group were given additional shenfu injection. Ox-LDL and NO were tested respectively before and after treatment in two groups.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of ox-LDL and NO before and after treatment in two groups.RESULTS: The contents of ox-LDL and NO before and after treatment in control group were respectively(6.01 ± 0. 81 ) and(5.78 ± 0. 55) μg/L, and (11.39 ± 1.15) and(12.89 ± 1.80) μmol/L. There was no significant difference( P ＞ 0. 05) . However, the results before and after treatment in therapy group were(6.61 ± 0. 87)and(4.01 ± 0.82) μg/L, and (11.83 ± 1.25)and(17.20 ± 1.52) μmol/L. There was significant difference( P ＜ 0. 05).CONCLUSION: Shenfu injection may increase NO and decrease ox-LDL in patients with angina pectoris of CHD so to improve the function of vascular endothelium.关键词
