摘要

Abstract

Municipal incineration ash (MIA) has been solidified by hydrothermal processing. The MIA was first compacted in a model at 5~20MPa, and then hydrothermally cured in an autoclave at temperature 150~250℃ for 10~72h. Experimental results showed that the tensile strength of solidified body was very sensitively to concentration of NaOH solution and the cement content in the MIA. The autoclave curing temperature exerted a significant influence on mechanical property of specimens. However,a higher curing temperature leaded to decrease in tensile strength. It was shown that the strength development was due mainly to the formation of tobermorite. Amounts of dissolved heavy metals from the solidified bodies were determined, and our results demonstrated that the heavy metals was very low well below the regulatory level of the environmental quality standard in Japan. As such, the hydrothermal processing may have a high potential for recycling/reusing MIA on a large scale.
