Abstract
An experimental research about the tightening properties of gasket which mechanical property is consistent with the needs of tightening were performed based on researctes on flexible graphite spiral wound gasket with different structures under normal temperature .The basic rule of the tightening properties were found and a formula,which can correctly describe the tightening properties of the gaskets, were also brought forth. All factors appearing in the formula were defined by recursively analyzing all experimental data. According to the experiment,the standard volume-leaking rate of the gaskets could reach 10-4for nitrogen under initial seating pressure and 1.1 times of reserved pressure during a unit time. It shows that this kind of gasket can be used in flange connection under above pressure grade and has low leaking rate.关键词
