A Mehtod of Feature Extraction for Structure Analysis of DNA Sequences

Abstract
The sequence-specific primer of human DNA sequences in human genome project is a great achievement in life science and genetic engineering. However, it has a long way to reach the goal of interpreting the bioinformation hidden in genomes. This is because that the structure of DNA sequences is difficult to be analyzed and recognized. A method of feature extraction is proposed for structure analysis of DNA sequence data. In the method, high dimensional features are extracted using co-occurrence probabilities from the code arrangements of DNA sequence data.Then the patterns of the structure are classified using correlation method and/or Bayes classifier.Some simulating experiments have been done. The experiments show that the method proposed is suitable for structure analysis of any DNA sequence data.关键词
