摘要

Abstract

The content and distribution character of surface sediments organic nitrogen and total nitrogen in the Pearl River Estuary were studied in April of 2007.The results showed that the content of total nitrogen range from 492.21 mg/kg to 1 002.69 mg/kg, with the average content was 737.20 mg/kg.The content of total nitrogen in upstream (756.85 mg/kg) was higher than downstream (717.56 mg/kg).The content of total nitrogen in east four estuaries (609.75 mg/kg) was significantly lower than west four estuaries (864.66 mg/kg).The content of organic nitrogen was between 271.90 and 521.76 mg/kg, with the average of 70.47 mg/kg.Being the main component of the total nitrogen, the organic nitrogen accounted for 32.7%-64.5% of the total nitrogen, with the average of 55.6%.The relative abundance of organic nitrogen in east four estuaries was significantly higher than west four estuaries.
