Abstract

The preparation of an electrode modified by Nafion-copper(Ⅱ ) macrocyclic complex [Cu(Ⅱ )L]Cl2 (L=1,8 -diethoxy -1,3,6,8,10,13 -hexaaza -14 -crown -4)is described. It was found that the electrode modified by Nafion-copper(Ⅱ ) macrocyclic complex showed a high catalytic activity for the oxidation of NO with high sensitivity and selectivity for NO determination. NO was detected as the oxidation current by the 1.5 -order differential linear scan voltammetry. NO concentration was linear with the oxidation current in the range of 1.4× 10-5 to 5.6× 10-7 mol/L. The detection was free from the interference of some biological substances, such as ascorbic acid, nitrite and L -arginine.
