摘要

Abstract

[Objective]The reference for the evaluation of the toxicity of melatonin in the belly cavity of mice was provided. [Method]The toxicity of melatonin in the belly cavity of mice was researched through the experiment in acute toxicity, sub-acute toxicity, micronucleus and distortion sperm. [Results]The experimental result indicated that the acute toxicity(LD50) was (255.910±41.188)mg/kg. In the sub-acute toxicity testing, the number of red blood cell and white blood cell was in normal range;the difference of lymphocyte, neutrophil, monocyte, eosinophil and basophil was cells was no significant with those of the CK;and there was no abnormal change in its anatomic observation and also the pathological change in all of tissue dissections. The experimental result from Ames, micronucleus and distortion sperm-testing showed that the melatonin injected in the belly cavity of mice did not result in the mutation effect and did not cause the distortion of mice chromosome and sperm. [Conclusion]The melatonin injected in the belly cavity of mice did not affect the hemogram, some biochemical parameters of blood and organization of mice and also the distortion of chromosome and sperm, and mutant induced of mice were found, however, it was speculated that it could cause the toxicity to mice nerve system.
