The efficacy of femoral head replacement in the treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture

Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy of femoral head replacement for elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture. Methods 78 elderly patients who had undergone femoral head replacement during the period of January 2007 to October 2009 were included in this study. The surgical efficacy was assessed 9 months after treatment. Results Thel efficacy was excellent in 65 patient (83.33%), good in 9(11.54%), and fair in 4 (5.13%), with a satistactory rate of 94.87%. Conclusions Femoral head replacement for elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture has an ideal efficacy. The anterolateral surgical pathway is superior to the posterolateral pathway.关键词
