Abstract
Objective To study the value of MRI and magnetic resonance venography (MRV) in the diagnosis of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).Methods MRI and MRV findings were evaluated retrospectively in 12 patients with venous sinus thrombosis.Results The venous sinus was seen isointensive signal in T1WI and low signal in T2WI in 2 acute phase cases,while a high signal in T1WI and T2WI were seen in 10 patients with subacute phase. In 7 cases,cerebral lesions such as hemorrhage, infarction and edema could be demonstrated on MRI.Interruption of venous sinus was found by MRV. Conclusions MRI combined with MRV are valuable in the diagnosis of CVST.关键词
